Hello world!

Welcome to the Seminole Manor Neighborhood Association blog. I thought it might be useful to post the latest happenings and to wonder about “what’s next?” for Seminole Manor. As a neighborhood that has existed since the 1950s, there’s a lot of rich history and many stories to tell. And as a neighborhood at a “tipping point,” there are several of us who are asking, “what’s next?” How can we help keep each other safe while neighborhoods around us are changing? How can we think B I G in terms of protecting the trees and habitat for the wild creatures with whom we share the neighborhood? How can we continue to improve our own homes and yards to protects investments — for most of us humble homeowners, these simple cottages are all we’ve got — and see property values increase? How can we promote affordable housing as also diverse, sustainable, eco-friendly, and lovely all at the same time?

As several of us have said, it’s an interesting time for Seminole Manor. Right now it is with optimism, cheers, and lots of neighborly good will we ask, “what’s next?”
